Who is Your Teacher?
My name is Ms. Fletcher. I teach sixth grade English and history. This is my seventh year of teaching. Before coming to Rancho I worked at Carnegie Middle School. I was the yearbook advisor there, along with the English Department Chair. My favorite part of teaching is interacting with students and helping them learn to ask questions about ideas and information.
Some of my favorite things are reading memoirs and novels. I am also a huge Dodger fan. My record last season was attending eight games (seven wins, one loss) and I love the feeling of walking into Dodger Stadium just before a night game. I love eating out at restaurants in Long Beach, where I live two blocks from the beach. I also love riding my bike on the beach path.
I have one younger sister who is my best friend. I also hang out with other teachers as well as friends from Biola University, where I got my Bachelor's and Master's degrees.
My favorite hobby is traveling. I've been to eleven US States and seven countries. My favorite candy is sweet tarts, especially the blue ones. My favorite board game is Trivial Pursuit. My favorite kind of food is Mexican food.
I look forward to getting to know you this school year!
